This program is one that we are hoping to offer for 2023 and will release more information closer to the date. We attempted to offer this camp in 2022 but fell short on registration numbers and had to cancel. We are hopeful that we can make it happen for 2023! The dates would either be the week of December 11th or 18th.

We are reconnecting with our roots and offering our first ever DAY CAMP at Beech Mountain, NC! This camp will focus on SLALOM training and will consist of 4 mornings of on-snow training from 8am-12pm at Beech Mountain. We will follow on-snow training with a break for lunch and then video review with SARC coaches. Then in the afternoons we will head to Buckeye Recreation Center for an afternoon of dryland training, mental fitness training, and other programming that will develop crucial skills for young athletes. We plan to wrap it up at about 4pm each day!

Requirements:

• Beech Mountain Academy athletes will be given priority registration until October 10th. Then from October 10th-November 10th we will open registration to outside athletes, space permitting.

• Athletes MUST have at least one season of formal race training experience and be at least a Phase 3 skier, based on the phases listed on the Beech Mountain Academy webpage.

• Athletes must be at least 10 years of age by the camp start date, unless given permission from the camp director. If you would like to find out about registering an athlete under 10 years old, please contact Sara at sarabeeken3@gmail.com

• Athletes are required to wear slalom gear and an FIS regulation helmet. This includes a chin guard, shin guards, and pole guards. This will be a slalom camp and even if your athlete does not typically make contact with the gates, we will be doing drills and progressions that will include making contact with gates, so without the proper safety gear they cannot participate.
